April 2021 New Releases

It is finally beginning to feel like Spring here in the Pacific Northwest. Lots of flowers blooming, lots of rain, but some sunshine too. April is always an exciting month and I am sure this one will be better than last years. Lots of good books coming out as well. These are just a few that have caught my eye that I might even try to read this year.

Mirror’s Edge (Imposters #3) has the coolest cover ever! I didn’t even realize that the second book in this series had come out! I still haven’t read the first one yet! But I have moved it up on the TBR pile.

The Murder Game caught my eye because of the cover. Then the summary just made me more interested in reading it. Who hasn’t thought about murdering a teacher they didn’t like?

The Helm of Midnight also has a stunning cover and is about a dead serial killer. But it is also a fantasy and it sounds super interesting.

The Prison Healer is one I have been seeing on a lot of blogs lately. It has mostly been getting good reviews, and it also has quite the cover.

The title is what caught my eye for The Mary Shelley Club, not a fan of the cover otherwise. But the title was enough for me to look it up. Another prep school murder mystery with a bit of a twist.

Defekt is a novella and the second in a series. The cover caught my eye and I immediately thought AI but this one is actually about clones. It is a bit of a satire as well.

Dustborn is another science fiction dystopian book, but it has a western bent to it. Sounds interesting and I really like that cover.

Of course I must remind you all that the latest Murderbot Diaries, Fugitive Telemetry, is coming out at the end of the month. Super fun books and easy to read, you really must pick this series up if you haven’t already.

Hopefully you found a book in this list that sounds interesting to you. I don’t know which of these for sure I will get to this year, but at least two of them are on the top of the list.

What book or books are you most looking forward to reading in April?
