The Box in the Woods is my latest ARC that I need to read. I just started this but it is fun to meet up with Stevie and the gang again.
I gave up on the audio book of Uprooted. The narrator just wasn’t working for me. I am picking up a copy of the book today and hope that reading the story will be a positive. I really was enjoying the story, just really struggled with the narrator.
Other Words for Home is my current audio book. I am not a big fan of novels in verse, but so far this one sounds just like prose, not poetry at all. I am really enjoying it even though there are some tough topics which so far have been handled well.
I absolutely adored Donuts and Other Proclamations of Love. It was such a fun read and I just loved the relationship between Oscar and his grandfather. Also the food descriptions were so yummy.
Hairpin Bridge was also a really good book. So suspenseful. I hope to have my review up next week. If you loved No Exit you will really like this one too.
Rule of Wolves was good although a bit of a drag to read. Just so much going on it was a bit hard to keep track of everything. Glad I read the two books close together though.
Shouting at the Rain was a nice middle grade novel about a young girl navigating her life on Cape Cod.
Summer Frost is a novella that is part of a series called Forward Collection. It is a series of short novels about the future. Summer Frost is about a game developer who accidently creates an AI to the detriment of all. It was really good and terrifying at the same time!
That Weekend will be the next ARC that I need to read. I am really looking forward to it. I have liked this author’s other books so I am sure this one will be just as good.
I don’t remember requesting The Block from the library but apparently I did and it is on it’s way for me to pick up in the next day or two. I am looking forward to it. I enjoyed the first book, The Loop, and can’t wait to see what happens in this one.
Cemetery Boys will be my next audio book. I am looking forward to this one, however I have not listened to this particular narrator before, so hopefully it will work for me.
I will probably also continue reading the novella’s from the Forward Collection. They are pretty fast reads and will be nice breaks between my longer books. The next one is Ark by Veronica Roth.
