I have started back to work so not much time for reading this week. But that is ok. I am enjoying these books and don’t mind spending a little more time with them.
Once Upon a Broken Heart is my current ARC and has been really good. It has been fun returning to this world. I was a little disappointed that the story wasn’t more about Jacks but I’ve been enjoying it nonetheless.
Survive the Night has been interesting so far. I am enjoying trying to figure out if Josh is a serial killer or if Charlie could be interpreting things wrong. Either way it is a page turner and at this point creepy.
I haven’t yet started This Vicious Cure and I might not for a couple of days. I’ve lost a little bit of interest in this series so I might listen to something else first and then go back to it. I still have an interest in finishing the series though, but maybe not for a few days.
What did I recently finish reading?
As Good as Dead was excellent, although this one is probably the darkest one yet. The story comes full circle too. I hope to have my review up tomorrow.
The Serpent Sea was good, but a little slow moving at times. The world building continues to be amazing and I love the character development also.
This Cruel Design picked up pretty much from where the first book left off. It has been a very interesting book. Lots of twists to what is really going on too. But the pacing was a bit slow and the romance sort of started overshadowing the other story lines.
What will I read next?
I totally picked up Cackle because of that cover and title. I really liked the summary too which sort of cinched the deal. This will be my next ARC and the first one for October.
The Final Girl Support Group is a book I have been looking forward to getting my hands on. I enjoyed this author’s last book and think this one might be even better.
Aurora Rising will be the next audiobook I pick up and will be a reread. I was lucky to get an ARC for the final book in the series and want to reread the first two books before I tackle that one. I might listen to them before continuing with the Mortal Coil series.

Super jealous that you got the ARC for the last book in the Aurora Cycle!!! Aah, I can’t wait to see what you think and I hope it’s a great ending! 😍 I keep getting ads on my Kindle for these Martha Wells books and I become more intrigued with each ad (sadly, they’re also quite expensive so that’s why I’ve been holding off lol)!
