This weekly meme was started by @Lauren’s Page Turners. It is now being hosted by Budget Tales Book Blog. To participate, choose a random book from your GoodReads TBR and show it off. Which sounds easy enough until you have to decide how to choose that book! I think I will use a different way each week, like picking a color or number of pages. I will let you know each week how I chose the book and then something interesting about it, like how it ended up on the list or why I want to read it. Got it? Okay let’s get started.
The book I chose for this week’s post is one I have been waiting for a long time. It was initially set to come out early in the fall, I think, then was pushed to end of 2021 and now is showing a February release date. I am so keeping my fingers crossed that this will really and truly be the final day as I can’t wait any longer for this book.

Summary from GoodReads:
No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don’t recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I’m not sure I’ll ever break through.
Now war is coming, and we’re not ready. We’re going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us.
And that’s saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.
There’s no guarantee that anyone will be left standing when the dust settles, but if we want to save this world, I have no choice. I’ll have to embrace every part of me…even the parts I fear the most.
The first three books were all published pretty close together, around 6 months each, so it was really hard when it was announced that this one was going to be another six months from the original release date. I have just loved this series and can’t wait to see how it all ends. As much as I would love to reread the whole series, I don’t think I will have the time, they are all super long. I also think I remember enough of the first books to be okay charging into this one. If you want to read my reviews for the first three books click on their titles below.
Have you read this series? How excited are you for the next book?
