This was a slow reading week for me. I was super busy for most of it and really didn’t have much time for reading, for actually the last two weeks. That is how long it took me to finish one of the books I am going to talk about anyways. But I am hoping things will settle down into more of my normal routine and I will have my usual time for reading back.
What am I currently reading?
In the Serpent’s Wake is the sequel to Tess of the Road which I just adored. I’m only a couple of chapters in, but I am liking it so far.
A Blizzard of Polar Bears is also a sequel and I am finding it just as riveting as the first book.
Gone to the Woods is my current audiobook. It is the last book that Gary Paulsen published last year. I am enjoying it and the reader is wonderful!
What did I just finish reading?
The Bone Orchard just took forever to get through, almost two weeks. Some of it was the formatting, tiny font, which made it hard to read for more than 20-30 minutes at a time. Also the plot was quite complex which also slowed me down.
Beach Read was good, not as funny as I was hoping it to be, but I did enjoy the relationship and how it developed over the course of the book.
Changes was long, but oh so good. The ending was a killer as well. It will be awhile before I can get my hands on the next audiobook. I might just break down and get the book because I just have to know what happens next.
What will I read next?
A Spoonful of Murder is an ARC I was recently approved for. I am looking forward to reading a cozy mystery after all of the heavy stuff I have been reading lately. I just love that cover too.
Bloodlines is a recent purchase that I am looking forward to reading soon. It is another urban fantasy and I have just been so enjoying those.
Ghost story will hopefully be my next audiobook, but I might have to listen to something else. But I am keeping my fingers crossed that this one will come sooner than expected.
I hope you have all been having a wonderful reading week!
