The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Well it has been a week! Between the Olympics and the Super Bowl and life in general it felt like I wasn’t getting as much reading done. But I did manage to get my usual three book read. Of course it helped that one of them was short and there were a couple of late night reading sessions, but there you go. I still got it done!
What am I currently reading?

A Spoonful of Murder is my current ARC and so far it is pretty good. I am liking the characters so far, and the story/mystery is shaping up nicely.
Bloodlines is so far pretty good. Mostly it has been world building, but I like the main character, Tom ‘Doc’ Holiday.
A Fine Summer’s Day is my current audiobook and it is really fun to see Ian before the war and what he was like. So far we have only had a glimpse of Hamish, but I am hoping he shows up more as this is a rather long book and I am only 40% in at this point.
What did I recently finish?

In The Serpent’s Wake wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but that might have more to do with my not remembering what the first book was about. I still enjoyed it though.
A Blizzard of Polar Bears wasn’t quite as good as the first book, but still a fun and exciting read. I am hoping there will be another one soon.
Gone to the Woods was a fascinating look at the early years of Gary Paulsen’s life. I had no idea how hard his childhood had been. I am amazed that he did survive it.
What will I read next?

What I read next will sort of depend on a few factors like availability of my holds from the library, but this is my best guess right now.
I need to read Black Sun before I tackle the second book in the series, so that is high on my list right now. I received the ARC for Fevered Star and need to get it done soon. I am looking forward to reading this one again.
Daughter of the Deep is the newest book by Rick Riordan, one of my favorite middle grade writers. This one has been sitting on my bookshelf since it came out and I really need to read it soon.
Even though I am really hoping that Ghost Story will be my next audiobook I know that it is just wishful thinking on my part. The wait is still about six weeks for the audiobook, I may have to break down and read it this time. So I’m thinking I will pick up The Trouble with Hating You for my next listen.
Enjoy your reading! I loved Black Sun, I hope you will as well!
