I had a really busy weekend and the end result is that I only got one book finished this week. Hard to believe, I know, but that is what happened. As of this writing (Tuesday evening) I am very close to finishing a second book, so I am calling that one done. I probably will be finishing it tonight. But you know what? I am ok with how little I was able to read over the week. I had a good time visiting with friends and spending time with my family. So it is all good.
What am I currently reading?
The Last Smile in Sunder City is very interesting. I am enjoying the characters and the plot is interesting too.
Billy Summers is my current audio book and I am really enjoying this one. It is long though, but the characters are great and the plot is amazing.
What have I recently finished reading?
I really enjoyed A Man With One of Those Faces. The characters were marvelous and the story was fast paced and thrilling. I really enjoyed the setting as well.
Gilded was a reread and I had forgotten how long it was when I started it! It is still really good and one of my favorite fairy tale retellings.
What will I read next?
Children of Ragnarok is the next ARC I will be reading. It is by one of my favorite authors and is based on Norse mythology, one of my favorites. I am really looking forward to sitting down with this one.
Killers of a Certain Age is by another favorite author and one that I totally missed hearing about until it came out a couple of weeks ago. This is another one I am really looking forward to reading.
I think Babel will still be my next audio.book, but it may not be. I still have quite a bit left of Billy Summers, so I am hoping this one will be available when I am through. But I might have to find something short to fill in some time between.
This coming weekend is going to be just as busy as the last one, but I am hoping to find a little bit more time to read. I hope so, or I will never make my Goodreads Goal this year. I am currently five books behind schedule! Yikes! I was only three a couple of days ago… got to go read!
