I had a great week of reading! I read 5 books and I enjoyed all of them. I am also currently reading three books that I am also enjoying. The weather has also been super nice lately so things are blooming and looking wonderful. Hopefully the warm weather will stick around.
What am I currently reading?
I am only a little bit into The Malevolent Seven, but so far I am really enjoying it. So far there has only been one point of view, Cade, but I really like him.
A Ghost of Caribou is the next book in the Alex Carter series. I enjoyed the first two books and this one is set in my home state of Washington.
A Beautiful Darkness is good so far although I am only into it about 2 hours. It is just as long as the first book, but hopefully I will get through it quicker.
What have I recently finished reading?
The Isles of the Gods was such a great start to a new duology by Amie Kaufman. I really enjoyed the characters and the magical system was very interesting.
Smoke and Whispers was the final book in the Oxford Investigations series and I really enjoyed it. I liked that this one was back to being about Sarah, she is such a good character and a lot smarter than she gives herself credit for.
Beautiful Creatures was a really good book about witches and the south. I loved the narrator and the little sound effect touches throughout the audiobook.
Titanium Noir was good, although I lost a bit of the plot towards the end. There were times when this felt like it was part of a series, but I don’t think it is. I will get a review done soon.
Daisy Jones and the Six was not what I was expecting, but I think it was better for it. I really enjoyed this book and the format was perfect for it. I haven’t yet decided if I am going to watch the series on Amazon yet.
What will I read next?
The Late Mrs. Willoughby will be the next ARC I need to read. I enjoyed the first one, so I am looking forward to spending time with these characters and the mystery.
Disaster Inc. is the first book in the McGarry Stateside series. I can’t wait to see how Bunny navigates New York.
I am not positive I am going to go on to Beautiful Chaos next. I might take a break from this series, but some of that will depend on how the current book ends.
