Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. It was relaunched on February 15, 2013 by Billy@Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

My bad, I never posted last week’s question and answer even though I had it done. So I am combining last weeks and this weeks into one post!

Last week’s topic is:

Which character do you identify with and why?

(submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

I don’t identify with any one character. But I do tend to have a type. I like strong female characters who can kick ass when needed, either physically or verbally. But they also have a softer side that is often hidden behind the brashy exterior. For male characters, I tend to go for the bad boys with a heart of gold or the wounded soul who just needs to be loved. I also go for the brooding, quiet ones too. But all of my favorite characters tend to be snarky and can have wonderful dialogue with anyone. I just love characters who can maintain witty banter.

This week’s topic is:

What are your thoughts on “happily ever after” endings?

(submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

I think my answer to this one sort of depends on the book. Of course I do prefer my romances to have happy endings. That is the whole purpose of a romance if you ask me. But I am ok with other genres not ending happily. It just needs to be a good ending that makes sense within the story. The type of ending that I usually don’t like is the open ended one. I have seen this work in some books, but usually it just leaves me wanting more.

So those are my thoughts on those two topics. I hope to be more on top of this with next week’s topic.
