Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

My trip to the library was quick this week. I only had one book to pick up, but when I got there, there were two ready! I still have the three books that I picked up last week to read, so I didn’t do any real browsing, just quick looks. I did also decide to pick up a really short book by a favorite author. I can probably read it in one sitting so I decided that was ok. I have also added one book to my ARCs from Netgalley. Even though there are not many books, I still think it was a good week.

Library book I have added to my bedside stack

I saw Fearless over on Wicked Witch’s Blog a few weeks ago and thought it sounded really good. M.W. Craven is a British author but the book takes place in the US, the Chihuahuan desert, and is a mystery/thriller. This is the first for me by this author, but it has some really good reviews so I am hopeful I will like it.

After reading Starter Villain, I looked up what other books this author wrote and when I saw Redshirts I just knew that was going to be my next read. I am an old trekkie, so this will certainly be a hoot I hope.

I still think What Moves the Dead has the creepiest cover ever, but I am sure it is a great read. It is very short, so I know it won’t take me long to read.

ARC’s I’ve added to my Netgalley account

Calamity caught my eye on one of NetGalley’s weekly emails. It is a science fiction romance, but it sounded really interesting. And that cover just really caught my eye. It comes out in November and I think is the first book by this author, although she has published lots of short stories.

Well, I had better get back to reading. I have so many books on hold from the library that I am feeling pressure to get what I currently have done, so that my pile doesn’t get too big. There are just so many good books coming out lately that I really want to read.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!
