Happy Thursday everyone. I am back with another book tag. Still not feeling the review vibe, hopefully next week. I think I have done this one a couple of times. I really like doing it because I sometimes find books that I have totally forgotten about. My only struggle with the rules will be the explaining how it got on my list. For most of them I really don’t remember, but maybe I’ll make up a good story for them. I also decided to do eight books, because I really like even numbers.
Rules:
- Link back to the original creator (The Corner of Laura)
- Go to your preferred random number generator, set the number limit to the exact number of books on your TBR list (on Goodreads or any other equivalent list) and generate 7 different numbers.
- Find the books on your TBR list that correspond with those numbers
- Explain why you added it, try to predict what you will think of it now and decide whether you’re going to keep it on your TBR or delete it.
- (Optional) Challenge yourself to read the ones you decide to keep within seven weeks
- (Optional) Tag 5 or more other people.
Books #211, #125, #115, #22

Mercury Rising: I think this one made the list recently because I saw a review for the sequel and I thought it sounded pretty good, but of course I need to start at the beginning. This is a science fiction/alternate history that sounds interesting. Keeping this one in mind to read soon.
The Whispering Dark: This is one that I really don’t remember how it got on my list. I probably saw a review somewhere, and that cover is certainly something that makes me take notice. This sounds like a dark academia with some horror and romance and a whole bunch of other genres. Sounds right up my ally, so keep.
An Unreliable Magic: This is also a second book in a series. I read the first book, and although I usually love this author’s books, the first book didn’t really work for me. But I keep thinking that I should give the second book a try. This one will stay on the list for now.
These Rebel Waves: This one is also by an author whose books I have liked, so I probably added it when it came out Not sure why I have yet to pick this one up, but I’m pretty sure I will like it when I do. This one is definitely a keeper.
Books #132, #17, #190, #16

Uncanny Times: I have no clue how this one got on the list. Best guess is a review as that is how the majority of them get on there. But this one is the underdog of the group. It has less than 100 reviews, but most seem to be positive. I always like to give underdogs a chance they just might turn out to be a gem. This one is staying for now.
Call Down the Hawk: I love Maggie Stiefvater’s books so of course this one made the list as soon as it was announced. The sad thing is that I have not yet read it. I think I remember wanting to wait on this series until it was done, so I think maybe I should get to it soon. This is definitely staying on the list.
Fated: I know exactly how this one ended up on the list. I read a book earlier this year by Benedict Jacka and so enjoyed it, that I went and looked up their other books. This one sounded perfect for me as it is an urban fantasy with a touch of mystery.
Second Hand Curses: This was added to the list back when I was really interested in fairytale retellings. Even though this one still sounds like it might be a lot of fun and something that I would enjoy, I’m seriously considering taking it off the list. But not quite yet.

This time around I didn’t find any to take off my list yet, but I have a couple that I am considering. I know I will not be getting to any of these soon, but it is always good to be reminded of books. A couple of these might end up on my library list soon. I am not going to tag anyone, but if you enjoyed reading this, please join in the fun.
