WWW Wednesday

What a busy week, but I still managed to fit in some reading and I really enjoyed all of them. I finished 4 books and a novella which is a very good week for me. I don’t think I will get as much done this week as I have a really long audiobook going and a fairly long book to start. But I only have 3 more books to get to my unofficial reading goal of 200 books for the year. I think I can do it in the four days we have left!

What am I currently reading?

Everyone on This Train is a Suspect is the final ARC I need to read this year! It is the second book in the Ernest Cunningham series. I loved the first book and so far I am liking this one.

Fate of the Argosi is the final book in the prequel series for Spellslinger. I should be starting it today and I am really looking forward to seeing how this one ends.

A Curse of Krakens is the audiobook I am working on right now. I hope to finish before the end of the year but it is a long one so I might not quite get there. I have really enjoyed this series and the audiobooks!

What have I recently finished reading?

Twenty-Seven Minutes was pretty good, especially when you consider it was a debut book. Not sure it deserves the hype it has been getting, but I did like the twist at the end.

Lessons in Chemistry wasn’t the book I thought it was going to be. But I still really enjoyed it. I haven’t decided if I will finish watching the series now or not. I will have to wait and see if I get in the mood to finish it. 

The Inheritance Games was also a really nice twisty book. I liked the games that the characters had to complete to find out why Avery was given all of the Hawthorne money. I probably will continue the series at some point.

We’ll Never Have Paris is a cute little romcom novella that I read on Christmas day. I liked the characters and the author managed to pack in a lot of stuff into such a short book!

Good Girls Don’t Die was a really good read. I didn’t mean to read it so quickly but it was so good I just couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend this one.

What will I read next?

The Tainted Cup is the next ARC that I need to read. It is a fantasy mystery with a Sherlock like cast of characters. Hopefully it will be good.

I think Pushed will be the next library book I read, but we will see. I would like to get this one done and because I have so many fantasies going right now, it might be nice to break it up with a bit of nonfiction.

I’m not positive that Iron Flame will be my next audiobook, but it is next in the queue at the library. I’m suppose to be getting it soon, but of course that depends on how quickly others get through this 28 hour listen.
