WWW Wednesday

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

This has been a fairly decent reading week. I almost dnf’d an ARC, which I don’t think I have ever done. But after taking a break from it, I decided to give it one more chance. Now, I don’t think this book is going to be my favorite, but I at least don’t feel guilty about not finishing it either. The rest of my week’s read were pretty good and I just loved the audiobook I just finished.

What am I currently reading?

I Only Read Murder started off pretty bad. I came close to not finishing it. But I took a break and when I went back to it, it seemed to get a bit better. I hope to finish this today.

And Then There Were None is a classic and I am enjoying it so much. I have never read a book by Agatha Christie, (at least not that I can remember), but I don’t think this one will be the last.

Finlay Donovan is Killing it is my current audiobook. This is a reread and I am still enjoying it so much. I had forgotten much of the story.

What have I recently finished reading?

Under the Storm was a suburb crime thriller that was such a slow burn that at times I wasn’t sure the crime was going to be solved!

Upon a Frosted Star was a very beautifully written reimaging of Swan Lake. I enjoyed the story quite a bit, but was a little disappointed that it didn’t have a happier ending.

A Curse for True Love was okay. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had reread the first two books. I just really struggled to connect with the characters which kind of ruined the story for me.

Listen for the Lie was fabulous! I loved the audiobook and can not recommend it enough. This is one you really should listen to instead of read.

What will I read next?

Murder Road is the next ARC that I need to read. This will be the second book by this author that I will read, and I am really looking forward to it.

The League of Lady Poisoners is a nonfiction book that I am planning on reading next. I hope it is as interesting as it is beautiful.

I am hoping that Finlay Donovan Knocks ’em Dead will be my next audiobook. Looking forward to continuing my reread of this series.

Well that is it for this week’s edition of WWW Wednesday. January is over and I am really looking forward to February as I have some wonderful books lined up that I am really looking forward to reading. Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. I’m glad that I only read murder improved for you. I hate it when I don’t enjoy an ARC as I don’t feel that I can just put it down as I would if it was a library book. Enjoy all of your February books.
