I don’t know about you, but January seem to go by awfully slowly. I think it was the relentless rain and gloom. Which is not that unusual around here, but this year it seemed a bit more oppressive. Well, it did make the perfect conditions for reading, so I guess it all worked out.
I am really looking forward to my February TBR. I have four ARCs lined up that I am sure are going to be fabulous. I also plan to get a few books I own read, so that will be good. I usually feel pressured to read library books first, and sometimes that means pushing books asided that I really want to read. I’m beginning to get a system down on how to juggle all that, so I am hoping to get to more owned books this year.
ARCs I need to read

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the next installment in this hilarious series. Even though it is coming out March 5, which usually means that I would read it first, but I am going to put it off a bit so that I can reread the first three books.
Murder Road sounds so good I can’t wait to dive in. I have only read one other book by this author, but I keep meaning to read more.
A Grave Robbery is the ninth book in the Veronica Speedwell series. I just adore this historical mystery series, with one of my favorite couples.
The Mystery Writer is also a book I am excited about. I have read a couple of this author’s books and enjoyed them immensely. Her books always have some sort of unexpected twist to them that leaves you wondering.
Other books I plan on reading.

The League of Lady Poisoners is a nonfiction book that I am really interested in. I love the cover and the illustrations are delightful.
One of the Good Guys is another book that I have only learned about recently. It just came out earlier this month, but it sounded interesting and intriguing.
A Quantum Love Story is a book that I am super excited to sit down and read. I enjoy Mike Chen’s books and I am looking forward to see what he does with the time loop troupe.
Fuzzy Nation is a book that I just bought recently. John Scalzi is another author whose books I always seem to enjoy and this one looks like a lot of fun.

I am so looking forward to February! I have so many good books lined up that I can’t wait. It is a short month though, which means I will probably not get as many books as usual done, but I am so looking forward to these eight that it won’t matter that much if I don’t get any other reading done.
What books do you have planned for February? Any you are super excited about? Let me know in the comments.
Until next time…
I don’t make monthly TBR’s, I feel like they put too much pressure on me. I hope you enjoy your choices though!
