Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.
I didn’t do my usual weekly visit to the library this week. I didn’t have any books to pick up and I had plenty to read already, so I didn’t feel the need to go. I will probably go next week as I have a couple of finished or nearly finished books that need to go back. Not sure what I might pick up on my next visit, as I don’t think I have any holds that will have arrived by then, but I have a couple of others in mind that I know are sitting on the shelves.
Because of no library visit, this week’s haul is pretty small. I had an Amazon gift card that I have been meaning to use, so I finally sat down and purchased some books with it. I have had two arrive so far, with a couple of more coming next week. I also was approved for another ARC on NetGalley and it is one that I am super excited about.
Books I have added to my bedside stack

Literary cats is a short nonfiction book that I ran across a few months ago. My library doesn’t have a copy, so I just decided to order one. It is about different cats in the literary world and some real ones belonging to authors.
Poor Things is of course a movie that has been getting a lot of attention since Emma Stone won the Oscar. I hadn’t heard of it before then. But I also needed a book this month that had a movie or TV adaption for one of my challenges. The holds on the library skyrocketed so I just decided to order it. It sounds really interesting, although I find that cover disturbing!
ARC’s I’ve added to my Netgalley account

Ever since I read The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy, I have been dreaming of a sequel. And we finally have one! I was super excited to get approval for The Undermining of Twyla and Frank. It sounds wonderful and I can’t wait to get back to this fascinating world. It will be a couple more months before I can get to it though, as have so many other ARCs I need to read for June, but I hope to get to it as soon as I can.

I am pretty excited about getting to read these books. I do hope to get to them soon, but I have many others that I plan on reading first. Of course my mood might change and I might get to these sooner rather than later. Until next time…
