It’s another book tag! Yep, still not in the mood to write any reviews this week. Hopefully that will change over the weekend, as I have a couple of ARC’s I need to get the reviews done for. I saw this tag on Booksare42 yesterday and decided that I needed to do it. There will be a couple of the same answers from yesterday’s tag, Reading Firsts, but there isn’t much overlap between the two. This tag was created by Roisin’s Reading on BookTube.
How many books have you read so far?

I’m not doing the Goodreads Challenge this year, so I don’t have a fun graphic for this prompt. I think that is a pretty good number three months into the year though.
Have you found a book that you think might be a 2024 favourite?

I know that no matter what other books I read or listen to this year, this one will be in the top five if not in the number one slot. This is the best audiobook I have ever listened to and I have listened to many. I will keep telling people to listen to this book until they are tired of hearing me talk about it. You can read my review here.
Any least favourite book of the year?

I had forgotten about this one when I did yesterday’s tag, so I will include it here. I started off really liking this book, but then it just veered off into a weird direction that made me not like it by the end.
Most read genre?

This was a pretty close race between mystery and fantasy, but mystery won by one book. Of course some of these books could have been in both categories, so I don’t know for sure this is correct. I do tend to like books that are a blend of genres.
A book that surprised me?

I’m interpreting this as a book that had an ending that I wasn’t expecting and this one certainly fits the bill. There was a twist at the end that I never saw coming and that doesn’t happen very often for me. You can read my review here. I am looking forward to reading the next book sometime this spring.
A book that has come out in 2024 that I haven’t yet read?

I am actually doing pretty good with keeping up on all of the new releases that I want to read. But these three are the ones that are haunting me at the moment, because I haven’t read them yet. Ok, so Play of Shadows only came out on Tuesday, so I can’t really feel too guilty about that one. There has been a delay in my receiving my copy of The Prisoner’s Throne, (A very long story that I will tell you another time), so again can’t feel too guilty about that one either. I don’t really have and excuse for Relight My Fire though, so the guilt trip for that one continues. I hope to get to all of these before summer.
One goal you made that you’re succeeding at?

One of my goals this year was to write more reviews, and I feel that I have been doing pretty well with this goal. This week is kind of a one off as I haven’t written a single review. But so far, with the exception of maybe ten books, I wrote a review for all of the books I have read this year. I hope to continue to do that well for the rest of the year.
One goal that you need to focus on?

I don’t think that I have any other goals this year, at least none that I need to focus more on. I am doing great so far with my challenges and my one goal of writing reviews is moving along nicely. So here is a cute cat picture for your entertainment instead!

I’m not going to tag anyone, but if you feel like joining in on the fun, go for it! Hopefully my dry spell for writing reviews is now over and I will be back next week with some reviews for you reading pleasure. Until next time….
I love reading people’s answers to this tag. I’m glad that Listen for Lie was so good. I hope that the physical book is just as good as I should hopefully be getting it from the library soon.

Many people like the book as well. I just happened to listen to the audiobook first.

Many of them were audiobooks, which I listen to while I am doing other things. That helps a lot!
