It has been quite the busy week. My husband and I have spent quite a bit of time house hunting and that is just so tiring. We want to downsize and find a quieter neighborhood, but so far we haven’t found that just right house! There is no rush, but we would like to get things sorted sooner rather than later.
Reading wise it was a pretty typical week. I did decided to put City of Bones by Martha Wells aside for the time being. The print was just so tiny and dense that I found it really hard to read and it was giving me a headache. But I did discover that they also have the audiobook version at the library, so I am now waiting for that one to become available. I was enjoying the book, but it was just too hard to read for my old and tired eyes.
What am I currently reading?
Mirrored Heavens is my current ARC that I have only just started. It is the third book in the series. I am very excited to see where this book goes and to see how the series ends.
The Best Way to Bury Your Husband is the library book I am currently reading. I have only just started reading it as well, so haven’t yet formed an opinion.
Every Last Fear is my current audiobook. I am really enjoying it so far and I really like the narrator.
What have I recently finished reading?
Service Model was very entertaining. Although it did get a little draggy towards the end. It was quite the existential road trip story!
The Familiar was a bit slow at the start, but once it got going I found it hard to put it down. Marvelous characters and the historical setting was top notch.
Everytime I Go On Vacation Someone Dies was a little bit annoying, but I enjoyed it for the most part. I should have the review up on Friday.
What will I read next?
The Hermit Next Door is my next ARC. It is a novella so should be a quick and short read, which will be nice after just finishing two long reads.
Play of Shadows will be the next book I pick up I think. I have been looking forward to reading this book for a long time and I am really hoping it is worth the wait.
A Whisper in the Walls might be my next audiobook. It sort of depends on which of my holds comes first, but this one is most likely next. I am looking forward to this sequel to A Door in the Dark.
