The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you are all having a great week and are staying cool or warm depending on where you are. We have been having a bit of a heat wave here, which for us means over 90 degrees. Not hot by some standards, but pretty hot for us. But it is a good excuse to stay inside where it is cool and read.

I had a busy weekend with a wedding and having fun with family. I was surprised that I was still able to get my three books done for the week, although the audiobook was just finished last night. Looking forward to starting my new one today.

What am I currently reading?

Silent Sister is really good and I am having a hard time putting this one down. I think I have at least some of it figured out, but the truth has yet to come out.

How to End a Love Story is my current library book and I tried to start it last night, but was too tired to get much farther than the first 10 pages. But so far I am liking it. Hopefully I will get a bit farther into it tonight.

I saw a lot of good reviews for The Cautious Traveller’s Guide to the Wastelands a few months ago and decided that it sounded like something I would enjoy. I will be getting started on this one hopefully today, but maybe not until tomorrow.

What have I recently finished reading?

Death at Morning House was good. It also has a dual timeline like her other books, and some very likable characters. I really enjoyed the historical mystery in this one.

Sweet Nightmare ended up better than I thought it would when I started it. Once you get past the first third of the book the story and pacing really pick up.

The Ministry of Time was such a good read. The narrator was also good, although there were a couple of occasions where she spoke too fast and it was hard to understand her.

What will I read next?

A Sorceress Comes to Call is the next ARC I need to read. I am really looking forward to this one. I always enjoy Kingfisher’s books!

The Mimicking of Known Successes will be the next library book I pick up. I found this at the library and thought it sounded good. It is a cozy mystery set in space!

Murder Your Employer will hopefully be my next audiobook. My hold should be available any day now, so fingers crossed. I think this is suppose to be a funny thriller? So hopefully it will make me laugh. I love the title!

Well that is it for this week’s update on my reading. I hope you are all enjoying your reading this week, and are keeping cool if you are also one of those people experiencing a heat wave.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. I’m not struck on heatwaves but a bit of sunshine would be nice as it’s just grey and wet here in the UK at the moment. I loved The Cautious Traveller’s Guide and hope that you enjoy it too. I’m looking forward to getting The Ministry of Time from the library soon.

    1. I’m looking forward to starting Cautious Traveler. I enjoyed the Ministry of Magic, although the ending was a tad confusing, but I think that was more on me than the book. I might have to reread the ending with a physical copy.😊
