Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

Welcome back to another edition of Stacking the Shelves! This week I broke even with the library. I returned two books and only picked up two. Woohoo! I did see a new nonfiction book that I was sorely tempted to get but I resisted. I currently have seven books checked out which is about five too many, but I’m reading as fast as I can with them. I really need to rethink how many books I put on hold at a time. Most of the ones that I am currently waiting for don’t come out until the fall, so hopefully I will get a bit of breathing space soon. I also picked up another ARC this week that doesn’t come out till next year. It is the third in a mystery/thriller series that I have really enjoyed.

Books I have added to my bedside stack

Middle of the Night is the newest book by Riley Sager. It sounds amazing and I am really looking forward to picking it up to read as soon as I can. It is a mystery/thriller, with some horror mixed in, about a child that went missing.

Trust Me When I Lie is the debut book by Benjamin Stevenson. It was first published in AU as Greenlight and then in the UK by the title She Lies In The Vines. I always find it interesting when they change the titles between countries. I love his Ernest Cunningham series so wanted to go back to read his debut book.

A Long Time Gone is the ARC I received this week. It is the third book in the Ben Packard series. Both of the other books in the series were excellent and I am really looking forward to reading this one.

That is it for this week’s Stacking the Shelves. Next week I hope to have more books to return to the library than I pick up. I know I have at least one more on the way. I also have some books I ordered at my local indie bookstore that are ready to pick up that I will talk about next week.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!
