Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.
It has been three weeks since I did one of these. As the year winds downs I haven’t been actively adding books to an already large stack by my bed. But I have been adding ARCs and I did have a hold that I have been waiting months for finally arrive and I did pick up two more books that I am deciding between for one of my challenges. So I decided it was time to catch you all up on the wonderful books I am looking forward to reading.
Library books I have added to my bedside stack

The Masquerades of Spring is a novella in the Rivers of London series. It took forever for my hold to come through at the library, but I finally have it in my hand and that makes me very happy.
The Last Phi Hunter is a book that I might read for one of my challenges or I just might read it for fun. I have been seeing a few mixed reviews of this one recently, so we shall see.
The Moorings of Mackerel Sky is another one I am considering for the same challenge as Phi Hunter. I love the cover and it sounds like a good book.
ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

All Better Now (February 4, 2025) is by one of my favorite authors. This is a futuristic novel where happiness is contagious and there is a conspiracy and all sorts of things going on. Sounds great and I love that cover.
Emberclaw (March 4, 2025) is the second book in the Dragon Scales series. I loved the first book, Dragonfall, earlier this year and I am really looking forward to reading the sequel.
When the Moon Hits Your Eye (March 25, 2025) is the newest book by my favorite science fiction author. Kirkus reviews has given it a star, (if your a librarian you know what that means). The premise is kind of silly, but I know he will make it work.
A Drop of of Corruption (April 1, 2025) is the second book in the Shadow of the Leviathan series. I read The Tainted Cup earlier this year and really enjoyed it, so looking forward to the sequel.

So, even though I keep meaning to cut back on both my ARCs and my library books, I just can’t stop myself. I have been better about not putting so many books on hold at once, but I know that isn’t going to last. So many good books out there and so many coming out next year. I hope you are having a great weekend and finding time for yourself and for your reading. Until next time…
