Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

Happy Saturday everyone! This has been a very good week. I managed to pick up three library books and two ARCs. All of them are ones that I am excited to read. Plus my reading so far this week has been excellent! I am hoping to continue this really good reading streak to the end of the year!

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Faeries Never Lie is a YA short story collection that I recently learned about. I picked it up mostly because of Holly Black’s story, but as you can see there are lots of really good authors in this one. And isn’t that cover just amazing! I like having short stories around when I know I am going to be busy. It is easy to just pick up and read a story!

The Seventh Bride is another book by T. Kingfisher. I have slowly been making my way through her backlist. I think I’m more than half way through if you don’t count the short stories.

Ace Up Her Sleeve is a novella set in the Witch’s Compendium of Monster’s world. I am looking forward to reading the prequel to the series.

ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

A Brush with Death is a cozy mystery about three retired teachers who solve mysteries. I read the first book, A Spoonful of Murder a while ago and liked it well enough I am willing to give this one a chance. There are actually two more books that I missed in the series that I will try to make time for before I read this one.

The Incredible Kindness of Paper has such a lovely cover and premiss. I love stories that have a little bit of magic in them. This one sounds like a lovely little love story. THis doesn’t come out until August, but I just might be reading it earlier. I think it will make a lovely spring read.

Well that is it for this week’s Stacking the Shelves post. I look forward to seeing what all of you have added to your shelves. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
