My January 2025 TBR

Wow, 2025 is only two days away! Where does the time go? I had a very successful reading year in 2024 and expect 2025 to be no different. I am taking it a bit easy this month with the TBR, with only 6 books that I am pretty sure I will read this month. I have never considered myself a mood reader, but lately I am struggling a little with choosing what books to read. Hopefully this will pass with the season.

ARCs I need to read

A Long Time Gone is the third book in the Ben Packard series. I have really enjoyed the first two books and am looking forward to this one.

All Better Now is a YA dystopian mystery thriller by one of the best writers of the genre out there. There is a virus that makes people happy running amok which sounds great until it isn’t.

The Fourth Consort is a standalone by a new favorite science fiction author. I loved his Mickey 7 duology and I’m really looking forward to this one.

Other books I plan to read

A Captured Cauldron is the second book in the Side Quest Row cozy fantasy series. I just adored A Rival Most Vial and was thrilled when my library added this one to the catalog. I hopefully will be getting it in time to read this month.

Old Man’s War is a backlist book by another favorite science fiction author. I love the spiffy new redesign of the cover. One of my goals this year is to read more of the books that I own and this is one of those. It also his debut book, so that should be fun.

A Brief Atlas of the Lighthouses at the End of the World is my nonfiction pick for the month. I am actually probably going to start the month off with this as I am very excited to read it.

I think that is a pretty good selection to be starting off the year with. I look forward to seeing what others are reading in January as we start the brand new year. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
