Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

Well we had quite the end to our week! We have had two days of snowy weather that impacted a lot stuff I had planned. But it was pretty while it lasted and it was perfect for just hanging by the fire and reading a book. I think that we have maybe a little bit more snow this weekend, but then we will be returning to normal weather wise.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

I didn’t make my trip to the library this week, not because of the snow, but because I didn’t have any books to pick up. I also have plenty of books at home so didn’t need to venture out to the library. Maybe next week, as I will have a couple of books to return by then.

ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

I have added two ARC’s this week, both of which I am really looking forward to reading.

I was pretty excited to see that there was going to be another Susan Ryeland book, so of course I snatched it up on Netgalley. Now, to be honest, I have not read the other two books, but I have seen the Masterpiece shows and loved them. I think it will be ok reading this one as they are mostly standalone novels anyways, at least the murders are. Marble Hall Murders comes out in April and yes they are already working on the TV show.

It Was Her House First is another horror novel by one of my favorite local authors. I came across this one recently through the publisher’s newsletter. It is about the malevolent ghost of a film star haunting a house. The new owner has no idea of the house’s history and all sorts of things happen of a supernatural nature and there is a real life threat as well. Sounds like a good one. This one comes out in July.

Audiobooks

I downloaded one audiobook this week from the library and I suspect that I will be listening to The Curse of Ten Broken Toes soon. I enjoyed this author’s nonfiction book, Sticky Notes, last year and have been a fan of his Instagram posts for awhile now, so I thought I would give his middle grade book a chance. He is a middle school teacher who has wonderful and sometimes funny stories to tell. Can’t wait to dive into this one.

That is it for this week’s post. I am looking forward to reading all of these book, even though I probably won’t get to the Cherie Priest book until much later this spring. Looking forward to everyone else’s post today, I usually find one or two books, (sometimes more) to add to my ever growing TBR stack. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
