Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.
It has been awhile since I’ve done one of these posts, but I am all caught up now on my library books, and so I am ready to starting building up on that stack again. I took the last two books back to the library and only picked up three. One of them is super short so shouldn’t take me long, which is why I was ok with borrowing three on this trip. I am trying not to let my stack get overly tall again as I want to catch up on some of the books I own now. I also have picked up one more ARC that I am super excited about. And finally an audiobook that I have already started and am really enjoying.
Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Plan for the Worst is the 11th book in the Chronicles of St Mary’s series. I am excited to get back to this series as it has been awhile. After this one I can finally start picking it up as audiobooks again. For some reason my library doesn’t have a bunch of them on audio.
How to Seal Your Own Fate is the second book in the Castle Knoll Mystery series. I enjoyed the first book, How to Solve Your Own Murder quite a bit last month, so I am looking forward to reading this one.
Machine is a book I found that I am hoping to use for one of my challenges. I was hoping it would be for the stream of consciousness prompt, but it might end up in the book in verse prompt instead. Oh well. It still sounds really interesting though, it is a murder mystery.
ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

Redneck Revenant is new novel set in the Adam Binder world that also includes the gang from Rogue Community College. It takes place on Halloween and of course it includes revenants. Sound like a perfect read for a crisp fall evening. It comes out on October 28th.
Audiobooks

My next audiobook that I have on hold on Libby wasn’t available yet, so I picked this one up instead. I’m Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom is so far hilarious and I am having a really hard time putting it down. I will probably finish it by tomorrow or maybe not till Monday.

That is it for this week’s Stacking the Books. Not a bad haul, and luckily a small one. I’m trying to pace myself with the books I put on hold, just so I leave room for the books I own as well. I hope you are having a marvelous weekend and those of you in the states have a happy Mother’s Day tomorrow. Until next time…
