WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is going well. Mine has been pretty good. Over the weekend WordPress informed me that I have had 100,000 views! I thought that was a pretty big milestone.

In Book news, we are in the middle of the month and I already have most of my planned TBR done. Plus I somehow managed to add two more ARCs to my reading this month. That happens I guess. One is an audiobook, so it doesn’t impact my reading as much even though it is pretty long.

What am I currently reading?

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil is starting off a bit slow, but so far I am enjoying the writing and learning about the characters.

Plan for the Worst is the eleventh book in the Chronicles of St Mary’s series. I am enjoying this one and we have a bit of a murder mystery for them to solve, which is fun.

🎧 Lady’s Knight is my current audiobook that I am actually starting today. I have heard good things about this one and I am a fan of the authors, so I am sure I will enjoy it. This is an audiobook ARC that will be published in June. (I love the tag line!)

What have I recently finished reading?

*The Medusa Protocol was a book that was a last minute addition to my ARCs this month. I loved the first book, Assassins Anonymous, and had to give this one a read. I really enjoyed this one and learning more about one of the characters.

*Field Notes From a Fungi Forager was my nonfiction read for this month. I really enjoyed learning more about mushrooms and fungus from the PNW and the illustrations were gorgeous.

*🎧Cursebound was really good, and I was a bit surprised by the ending. I thought this was going to be a duology, but there will be at least one more book, hopefully next year.

🎧 I’m Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom was hilarious and the reader was really good. So many themes and social satire that it was one that I am still thinking about. The ending was a bit of a surprise. I never would have guessed what was really in the box!

What will I read next?

Sounds Like Love is the next ARC and the final one for the month of May. So looking forward to ending the month on a happy note.

Sunrise on the Reaping will be my next read I think. I have heard that it is a very emotional read so hopefully I will be in the mood to handle it next.

🎧 Holy Terrors is holding this spot on my next read list once again. Hopefully the third time’s the charm for this one.

May is moving along quite nicely and so far I have been enjoying all of the books I have picked up. I am really hoping that this trend will continue to the end of the month. I hope that you have also been having a good reading month. Until next time…
