About this picture:
This is a tree that is in my neighborhood. I have walked by it many times without really thinking much about it, except for the fact that it is a really big tree. Recently though, the owners of the house placed a plague next to it (see next slide) explaining that it is a giant sequoia that had been planted in 1976. I thought that was really cool and I hope this tree is still standing here in another 50 years.
