Happy Wednesday everyone. I hope the week is treating you well. Summer starts later this week and I am so looking forward to it starting. Typical of the PNW that it will be raining on the first day of summer, but I am sure the rest will be brilliant. Summer is one of the best seasons here.
My reading week was excellent with four books finished. One of them was fabulous and the others were also good, but for the most part nothing special. But I enjoyed them, nonetheless.
What am I currently reading?
Not Quite Dead Yet is my current ARC. It is so far very riveting and a really fast read. It wouldn’t surprise me if I finish it today.
The Adventures of Mary Darling is quite good and I am enjoying it even though it is a little slow. I am liking the mash up of Peter Pan and Sherlock Holmes. I also quite adore Mary Darling.
🎧Tress of the Emerald Sea is so far quite fun. I am really enjoying the reader and the world building is amazing.
What have I recently finished reading?
*A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping was such a wonderful little book. I truly enjoyed the characters and the setting. It was another great found family story full of quirky characters.
*A Field Guide to the Apocalypse was an interesting look at how to survive the apocalypse. I am woefully unprepared, but at my age that might be a good thing. But still she had some good tips and it is sort of comforting to know that there have been many apocalypses already that the world has survived.
My Roommate is a Vampire was a fun book to read while on vacation. Nothing exceptional about it, but it was fun and I enjoyed the romance.
🎧Death on the Island was a good mystery that had me guessing till the end. I was partly right about who was to blame for the murders, but I was blown away by the motives.
What will I read next?
It Was Her House First is the next ARC I need to read. It is a haunted house story with a vengeful ghost. Sounds like a perfect book to read while on vacation.
The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association is my next library book. I hope this one is as funny as the title and summary promises.
🎧 The Undercutting of Rosie and Adam is the next audiobook I need to read. It is a last minute ARC that I was recently approved for on Netgalley. Really looking forward to this one.

I loved a Witch’s Guide to Magical Inn keeping and am eagerly awaiting the publication of The Undercutting of Rosie and Adam. I hope we both enjoy it.
