Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.
Happy Saturday everyone! I hope your weekend has been off to a great start. It has been a couple of weeks since I have done a Stacking the Shelf post and I have a few books to talk about. No new ARCs this week, but lots of library books and I actually purchased two books.
Library books I have added to my bedside stack

The Galapagos is a nonfiction book about, your guessed it, the Galapagos Islands. This is a place I have always wanted to visit, but with no current plans for a visit, I thought I would pick this book up. It might end up being a bit drier than I prefer my nonfiction, but I will give it a chance.
The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels is a book I have wanted to read since reading her Love’s Academic books earlier this year. I hope to get to it by the end of the month.
Better the Blood I picked up because it is set in New Zealand. I don’t think I have ever read a book that takes place there. It is also about a Maori detective and written by a Maori author. I am reading this for one of the bonus prompts on the 52 Book Club Challenge.
ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account
I have no new ARC’s added this week. I have kind of been avoiding Netgalley lately. I’ve been thinking of either using it less, or giving it up entirely, Not sure which way I want to go, or just keep on with what I have been doing. I think I am feeling a bit burned out on ARCs right now.
Audiobooks

A Walk in the Woods is the only audiobook I received this week. This is my planned nonfiction book for this month. I am looking forward to reading this one. I have heard good things about it over the years since it was first released.
Books I purchased

The Malevolent Eight was a preorder and it showed up last week. I am about half way through the first book, The Malevolent seven, and really looking forward to picking this one up next.
Nightshade is a book I picked up on a whim a couple of weeks ago mostly because it takes place on one of my favorite places to visit, Catalina Island. It is a murder mystery by one of the masters of the genre.

That is it for me this week. I look forward to seeing what all of you have added to your stacks this week. I always find something interesting to consider adding to my never ending TBR list. Until next time…
The Wisteria Society has such a pretty cover. I haven’t been on NG much lately either. I’m definitely getting more choosy about the books I request although it’s still fun to be able to request a book that lots of people are talking about. I hope that you enjoy all of your books this week
