Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is going well. Mine has been pretty good so far. I have been gettin a lot of reading done and the books have been quite excellent this month which makes me happy. I do seem to have a glut of fantasy books right now, which is causing a few issues, but I think it will all work out ok in the end. I am super close to finishing two of my reads, so will probably be starting the nexts ones soon.

What am I currently reading?

The Everlasting is my current ARC and I am really loving it. It took a bit to get into because of the first person narrative style, but once I did I was hooked.

Nightshade is really good and very hard to put down. I usually read it before bedtime, so I have been having a few late nights the last few days.

🎧*Dark Water Daughter is my current audiobook. It is a reread, but I am still really enjoying this one. I had forgotten how rich the world building was.

What have I recently finished reading?

*Redneck Revenant was an excellent addition to this series. I loved all of it and I am really wondering where it is going next after that ending.

Better the Blood was a really good serial killer thriller that was more of a cat and mouse chase then mystery. I loved learning about the Maori culture as well. I will have to pick up the next book in the series soon.

🎧 The CIA Book Club was a very interesting nonfiction book that really wasn’t about the CIA so much as about the dissidents in Poland who helped bring down the fall of the USSR, mostly through books and other banned literature.

What will I read next?

A Draught for a Dragon is a last minute ARC I picked up this week from the author. I am super excited about reading this one. The book comes out on October 20th.

Wild Reverence might be my next library read. This will be a long one, but hopefully will go fast. This is a prequel to the The Letters of Enchantment series. But I am thinking of reading something else instead. Just too much fantasy lately.

Black Tide Son is my next audiobook, another reread, although I might switch to something that is not a fantasy. It is hard to read three books of the same genre at the same time. And I have a bit of a wait for the third book, so no rush on this one.
