WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is going well. I have been visiting with my son who has been home for the last few days. It is always delightful to have him around. The weather even cooperated and was dry and very fall like. He lives in southern California where there aren’t really seasons, so he misses them.

My reading this week was good. I finished three books and all of them were pretty good. My reading has been a bit on the moody side though. I keep changing my mind on what book I want to read but once I decide I do stick with it.

What am I currently reading?

The House Saphir is my current ARC and so far I am really enjoying it. It is a retelling of the fairytale Bluebeard.

Hot Wax is my current library book. It is a mystery/thriller/horror set around the rock and roll scene of the late eighties. So far it is pretty good.

Juniper’s Christmas is a middle grade novel that is by one of my favorite authors. I received the second book in the series as an ARC and I don’t think I need to read this one to enjoy it, but decided to go ahead as I wait for my holds to come through.

What have I recently finished reading?

We Fell Apart was good, but didn’t quite have the impact that the other books did. I liked the characters though and the story was interesting.

Wild Reverence was really good, but soooo long and kind of slow. I really struggled to get this one done. The story and writing were excellent though.

Black Tide Son was my audiobook for the week and I really enjoyed it. So looking forward to listening to third book soon.

What will I read next?

A Fate so Cold will be my next ARC I think, although I have one other that I might choose instead. I’ve been kind of moody with my reading lately changing my mind on what to read.

Ghost Business might be my next library book, or maybe not. Again my moodiness is dictating what I might be reading next.

I have no idea what I might be listening to next. All of my audiobooks will be showing up sometime soon and I will have to see what order they come in at.
