Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.
Once again I started the week thinking that I wouldn’t have anything to post today, but then a few audiobooks showed up on Libby, a publisher offered me an ARC for a book I have been waiting for and somehow missed was coming out and finally when I made my weekly trip to the library I found a backlist book for a favorite author I hadn’t read yet. So let’s get to it.
Library books I have added to my bedside stack

The Twisted Ones
This one sounds more like a book that I should have read in October. It has really spooky vibes. It is about a young woman who is cleaning out her deceased grandmother’s cabin in the woods and discovers that there are all sorts of beasts and beings living in the woods. Better keep the lights on as I read this one.

Secrets of the First School
This is the fifth and final book in the Edinburgh Night series. It is an urban fantasy set in the not so distant future. The magic system is a fascinating one and there are lots of ghosts and other beings, some good some bad. The main character can speak to ghosts and she can help them to move on. She becomes involved with the magicians guild and their politics. It is quite a good story and I am excited to see how it ends. This one comes out December 2, 2025.
Audiobooks

Another Fine Mess is the second book in the Bless Your Heart series. This is sort of a cozy fantasy that features a multigenerational family of demon/zombie hunters. It is a lot of fun, I just adore the woman and the plot is slightly more serious than your average cozy fantasy.
Clown Town is the ninth book in the Slough House series. This is the series that the Apple TV show, Slow Horses is based on. I love this spy series. It has great characters and the plots are always very twisty. And it is funny! Just about everything I love in a story.
Red Tempest Brother is the third and final book in The Winter Sea series. I am super excited that this one finally came up on Libby. I am so looking forward to reading this one soon.

That is all for this week’s Stacking the Shelves post. Lots of good books were added to my shelf. I hope all of you have added some good ones too. Looking forward to seeing your posts. Until next time…
I also thought that I wouldn’t have anything then ended up with a couple and a Blog Tour sign up!
These look interesting.
Have a great weekend!
