Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

Happy Saturday to all of you! I hope you are having a wonderful day. My week was a bit on the busy side, but I did manage to make my weekly trip to the library. Good thing too, as I needed some books to talk about this week. No new ARCs this week, although I have been getting quite a few emails from publishers offering books. Unfortunately none of them have appealed to me, but there is always next week.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Extremity is a novella that I heard about through one of the authors I follow. It is a time traveling, end of the world police procedural. How could I not read that!

The Undiscovered Islands is another nonfiction and the one that I needed for my challenge, as I needed a book about islands. This sounded like an interesting read and it has some lovely illustrations.

A Dumb Birds Field Guide to the Worst Birds Ever is another nonfiction that I picked for a different challenge. I needed a book that is classified in the 500’s of the Dewey system. I have read a few pages and so far I am finding it very amusing.

ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

No new ARCs this week. I keep looking at netgalley, but not finding anything of interest lately. That is probably just my mood though.

Audiobooks

Nine Goblins is a very short audiobook that I picked up for that very reason. Also it sounded pretty funny. I have started it and so far I am enjoying it.

And that’s a wrap for this week. Hopefully I will have some more exciting books for next week’s post. We have a holiday here in the States on Thursday though, so maybe not. Also I have to get started on my Christmas shopping! Until next time…

Happy Reading!
