Spell the Month in Books is a pretty straightforward meme. Find book titles that start with each letter in the month’s name, make a list, share your list, and that’s it! There are optional challenge themes for the months. I found this tag over on Reviews from the Stack.
This month’s theme: New Releases
I decided to go a bit rogue this month as the themes of Easter or pastel covers didn’t really work for me. But I think new releases sort of fits into the whole spring birth theme? I don’t know, I’m just trying to get by here. Anyways here is the month of April spelled out in books. These books are all published this year and are ones I haven’t read yet.
A – Adversary to the Villain (August 4th)
P – Piper at the Gate of Dusk (April 7th)
R – Read Between the Lies (February 1st)
I – It Could Have Been Her ( June 23rd)
L – Last King of Fairy, The ( November 11th)

Adversary to the Villain is the fourth book in the Assistant to the Villain series. I just adored the other books in the series and I am really excited to read this one this summer. Piper at the Gates of Dusk is the first book in a new trilogy set in the Chaos Walking world. I’m so looking forward to this one. Read Between the Lies hasn’t been getting the best reviews, and I am getting a bit tired of these books that “take down the publishing industry”, but I thought I would give this one a chance as it does sound a bit different. It Could Have Been Her is another thriller by my favorite author of that genre. The Last King of Faerie is the first book in the last trilogy in the Shadowhunter world. I’m a little on the fence about this one, but I still might give it a chance.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Are there any new release books that you are looking forward to reading this year? let me know in the comments. Until next time…
