The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. It has been a somewhat quiet week for me. I finished three books and for the most part enjoyed them. My current reads are also good and I am quite enjoying them. Which is a good thing as it is currently pouring rain outside and will be for another day or two. Then I think the temperature is going to be in the nineties! Which is unusual for us this time of year. Good thing I have some good books to curl up with for the next few days.

What am I currently reading?

If Books Could Kill is so preposterous but yet I am having a hard time putting it down. It is totally ridiculous, but the characters are making me laugh, and the plot is pretty twisty even when it is being absurd. Not sure how this one will end, but I’m pretty sure it will be a fun ride.

The Midnight Show reminds me a lot of Daisy Jones and the Six, at least in the way that it is presented with the interview transcripts carrying most of the story. This also makes it a fairly quick read, but it also has a kind of a slow pacing. I’m still liking it though.

The Knight and the Moth is good and I am enjoying listening to it. It is maybe a bit on the predictable side, but the characters are good and the writing is well done.

What have I recently finished reading?

Killer Vibes was a lot of fun to read. I loved the main character and the story was well done. There were a few twists that I wasn’t expecting. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

The First Female Fossil Hunter was good, although a bit on the dry side. It got more interesting towards the end when there was more emphasis on Mary’s accomplishments. It must be hard to write a biography when there isn’t a lot of primary source information about the person you are writing about. The author did a good job though. I think I learned more about fossils and paleontology than I did about Mary.

Fated was great! I really enjoyed this urban fantasy and the characters. The world building was great and the magical elements were fantastic. I look forward to hopefully continuing this series soon.

What will I read next?

Head Cases is a mystery thriller about a group of FBI agents hunting a serial killer. I ran across this one on my Goodreads recommendations list. I don’t usually use that function on Goodreads, but it was a prompt on the 52 Book Club Challenge. This one sounds like it is right up my alley though.

Beneath a Broken Sky is the fourth book in the Ben Packard series. I really enjoyed the first three books about this small town sheriff and the murders that he solves.

Last Night was Killer is the next audiobook I plan on listening to. It is an ALC that I picked up because it was giving me Finlay Donovan vibes from the cover and the blurb. Hopefully it will be a fun listen.

That is it for this week’s edition of WWW Wednesday. I hope the rest of your week is marvelous and that you are enjoying your reading.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. I’m currently reading Neighbor, Liar, Killer by Katie Reus.
A really good haul last week. Although I must admit 2 were very short, about 20 pages. Still every little helps. I finished:🥁

1 Cold Blooded Liar by Karen Rose
2 Cold Heat bonus epilogue by Toni Anderson
3 Outback Escape by Elle James & Kendall Talbot
4 Knights Storm by Katie Reus
5 All’s Fair in Love and Pizza by Lane Hayes
6 Total Eclipse of the Ghost by Jordan L Hawk
    7 Cheater by Karen Rose
8 Hell Bay by Kate Rhodes

    Not sure what next
