Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope that your week is going well. So far my vacation has been rainy but that is ok. I’m mostly visiting with family, so I don’t mind a little rain.
I was so busy getting ready for my vacation that I didn’t get as much reading done as I would have liked. I did manage to finish three books though.
What am I currently reading?
Uncommon Grounds is the first book in a cozy mystery series. It was first published in the early 2000s and it does show its age a bit, but still it is a pretty good mystery.
A Catalogue of Catastrophe is the 13th book in the Chronicle of St Mary’s series. I just started it yesterday, but so far I am enjoying it. Just one more book to go and I will be all caught up in the series.
The Flatshare is pretty good. I am finding it very amusing. I will be half way through by today and I am so looking forward to these two finding their HEA.
What have I recently finished reading?
Head Cases was really good and I really enjoyed the cat and mouse game the FBI agents played with the serial killer. I hope to pick up the second book in this series soon.
The Best of Everything was good and very interesting. It unfortunately was a bit slow moving for me and seemed to take forever to finish. But still an interesting look at what life was like for young women in the early 1950’s.
Nobody Wants Your Sh*t was just as funny as the first book in the series. I didn’t find as many helpful tips in this one as I did the first. But still a helpful book if you need to declutter your life.
What will I read next?
Three Days in April will be my next ebook read. This is the debut novel by one of my favorite Sci-fi authors and I am really looking forward to picking it up.
Six Years is the next book I plan on reading. I have never read this author before, but I enjoy the tv adaptations of his books, so hopefully this will be as good if not better than the adaptations.
One Knight Stand is probably my most anticipated book from the first half of the year. I loved Lady’s Knight and I am sure this one will be just as funny. This will be my next audio book.
