This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

Happy Saturday! Such a busy week for me. I spent three days this week hanging out with my quilting friends. We had a lovely time working on our projects and just generally talking about life. The rest of the week was spent finishing up with the move. Not much left in the old house now, but it will still take a day or two to finish up in the garage. It has been a journey.
Pretty slow week in adding books as well. I did stop by the library and pick up my two books that were on hold. I also added an audiobook that I hope to start in a day or two. No new ARCs this week.

Don’t Cross Mo Ellery by Birdie Horne
I saw a review for Don’t Cross Mo Ellery on Book’d Out and thought that it would be the perfect read to end my summer with. It is about a down on her luck young woman who takes a job as a school crossing guard. One day one of her neighbors dies in a freak accident, or was it? This is a mystery and it sounds quite amusing so I am eager to start reading it.
Here Lie All the Boys Who Broke My Heart by Emma Simmerman
This is a book I chose for the Buzzword Reading Challenge, but I also just love that title and the cover is a lot of fun too. It is a YA/New Adult Mystery so it should be a pretty quick read. It is about a young lady whose ex boyfriends start turning up dead. She of course becomes a suspect as she writes ‘eulogies’ for her exes as part of her healing process after their breakups. The summary doesn’t say it is funny, but the premise sounds pretty darn humorous to me. Anyways, I am hoping for a good time with this one.
ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account
No new ARCs this week, although I was sorely tempted by a few. I didn’t go for them mostly because they come out in September and I just don’t have the time to read them right now. I did add them to my TBR though, so hopefully I will get to read them at some point.
Audiobooks
Subculture Vulture by Moshe Kasher
My first audiobook for September will be my non fiction read. Subculture Vulture is a memoir, which is not usually my thing. But this one sounded interesting and it does fit one of the prompts for the nonfiction challenge. The author has had quite the life and has somehow kept his sense of humor throughout, (he is now a stand up comic). He also narrates the audiobook, so that should add a nice touch to the book.
