Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m finally beginning to feel more settled and getting back to my normal routines. Moving is hard, and it seems to take longer every time I do it. Of course it has been twenty years since I last moved, so that might have something to do with it.
Reading this week was good. I enjoyed the three books I finished, especially the audiobook. The three current reads are also moving along and I am enjoying them as well.
What am I currently reading?
Mortal Things is interesting so far. I’m only about a quarter of the way in and I’m still trying to figure out the world. But I love the main characters so far.
Here Lie All the Boys Who Broke My Heart is so far a fun book. The main character, Sloane, is a bit of a train wreck, but I love her eulogies for her exs.
Tourist Season and I got off on the wrong foot when I started listening to it. But after relistening to the first two chapters, we are getting along much better. This is a fun book so far, if a bit on the gory side.
What have I recently finished reading?
It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Murder was a fun cozy mystery that had a surprise ending. I enjoyed the banter between the two main characters and the frenemies to lovers was well done.
21 Days of Fear was an interesting book. The ending didn’t work for me at all, sorry but I still have questions that didn’t get answered! But an interesting format.
King of Ashes was really well done. I kind of knew how this one was going to end, but it was a hell of ride getting there.
What will I read next?
Backwoods Banshee is the next ARC I need to read. So looking forward to this one, as I have been enjoying this series and I am excited to see where it goes next.
Kiss Slay Replay is the next read from the library. I almost always enjoy Rachel Harrison’s book and I am looking forward to enjoying this one.
It’s Not What You Think is a surprise audiobook. I requested it weeks ago, and had kind of given up on getting approved. But low and behold it showed up this morning as approved. I have to get moving on this as it comes out on September 22nd.

I’m looking forward to seeing your opinion of It’s not what you think. I really enjoy her Ffion Morgan series so will be interested to see what a stand alone novel is like.
