Happy Wednesday! I hope that your week is going well. Mine has been fine. I got lots of reading done, finishing four books and a couple of short stories. I do need to get going on my reviews, especially for the ARC I finished. Hopefully I will get that one done later this week.

What am I currently reading?

Rising Thunder is a prequel to the Scythe series and so far I am loving it. It will be interesting to see how the Scythe’s got their start.

Nobody’s Baby is a short novella that I will probably be finishing today. It is the second in a series that I like. I love the cover too. The juxtaposition of the obvious starship setting with the victorian like clothing really fits the story.

Heir is a book that I have been putting off reading for quite a while. I am actually going to switch back and forth from reading to the audiobook. I’m just starting this today.

I’m still working on the Into Shadow Collection. I’ve read two stories this week and hope to read at least one or maybe two this week as well.

What have I recently finished reading?

A Destiny So Cruel was a great ending for this duology. Such a great twist on the chosen one trope as well as an interesting look at the role fate and destiny can have on characters.

The Someday Garden was really sweet and a fun cozy read. I really liked the characters and the romance. The garden sounded amazing as well.

Jenny Will Eat You Now started off really weird, went into typical romcom territory and then twisted back to weird at the end. But still a really good and quite compelling read.

The Girl in the Lake was really good as well. I quite enjoyed the story as well as the characters. Looking forward to the next one.

What will I read next?

Emperor’s Dragon is the next ARC I need to read. It is the last book in the Soulbound Saga and I am really looking forward to seeing how this one ends.

We Chase Shadows is the second book in this mystery series. I just picked this one up at the library and I am looking forward to reading it soon.

The Story of Birds is my next audiobook. This will be my nonfiction book for the month. I have heard good things about this look at birds and their dinosaur ancestry.
