A review for the first book in a new series by Stephanie Garber. Alchemy of Secrets is an urban fantasy, with a great heroine and a very intricate plot. Fans of this author are going to love this one as will fans of urban fantasy.

A review for the debut book by Jarod K. Anderson. Strange Animals is a quietly strange and eerie story about the unseen creatures that lurk in the woods. Beautifully written the author has created a world within ours that is creepy yet quiet and has characters that you will believe in.
I am going to be doing this fun tag again this year and really looking forward to it. This month’s birthstone garnet is a challenging one. Not a lot of books truly capture the reddish purple color. But I gave it a good try.
