A review for the newest retelling by Marissa Meyer. The House Saphir is a retelling of sorts of the Bluebeard retelling. This story takes place many generations after the original and focuses on what would happen if Bluebeard’s ghost came back to finish what he started. A mystery with a supernatural twist and a really fun read.
A review for the second novella in the Curse Bearer series by Veronica Roth. . To Clutch a Razor is just as dark as the first book and just as riveting. I love the characters and the themes of betrayal, vengeance and what it means to be a monster are well done.
A review for the audiobook version of Little Thieves by Margaret own. This is my second time reading this story and I loved it just as much as the first time. The narrator does a great job of bringing these characters to life and I am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.
A review for the third and final book in the Emily Wilde series. In this book, Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales Emily and Wendell travel to Wendell’s home to seize back the throne from his stepmother. It is a journey that neither of them will soon forget. The book is being release in February 2025.
A review for the short story collection by Naomi Novik, Buried Deep. This collection is full of wonderful stories, many of which have been published elsewhere. I enjoyed reading all of them. The last story is a glimpse of Ms. Novik’s next novel, and I loved it and can’t wait for the whole book to come out.
