A review for the first book in a new fantasy duology by Hafsah Faizal. A Tempest of Tea is a young adult heist story with tea and vampires. It has a very interesting premise, but unfortunately didn’t quite work for me.

I picked this book up simply because it fulfilled a prompt in one of my challenges. But I am really glad I found it. This is a beautifully written story about love, grief and the chances that we take, as well as the choices.
A weekly post in which I pick a book off of my GoodReads want to read list and talk about it. This week’s pick is a YA suspense thriller that I ran across recently. It is about two hikers that get lost in the Utah desert with a possible killer on the loose.
A weekly post in which I pick a book off of my GoodReads want to read list and talk about it. This week’s pick is coming out this summer and I am very excited about it. It is a cozy thriller with a found family, crazy hijinks and a little bit of romance.
A review for the newest book set in the Greatcoats world, Play of Shadows by Sebastien de Castell. A swashbuckling tale of reluctant heroes, found family, and theater troupe being pulled into political machinations that may get them killed. A beautifully written story with characters you will love and want to root for.
A review for the audiobook version of the new Lisa Unger psychological thriller, The New Couple in 5B. This suspense laden plot will keep you enthralled with its tightly woven plot and gothic ghost story vibes. The reader, Vivienne Leheny, does an excellent job with the narration, making the tension and horror of the story feel real.
