A review for the fifth book in the Hawthorne and Horowitz series, Close to Death by Anthony Horowitz. This is a fun addition to this series with the author looking back at a murder that Hawthorne worked on before they met. It is twisty and fun with lots of suspects who had plenty of reasons for wanting the victim dead.
A weekly post in which I pick a book off of my GoodReads want to read list and talk about it. This week is a new book coming out this summer from a favorite author. It isn’t part of her Truly Devious series, but it still sounds awesome!
A weekly meme where I talk about what books I have added to my reading list this week. This will mostly be my library books, but I will talk about others as well. This week I have added quite the selection of books to my stack!
This is a review for the new full length book by Lindy Ryan. It is a cozy horror, full of heart, warmth and fun characters. Yes there are some gruesome scenes, but the rest of the story is pure delight and the narrator does an excellent job of bringing them to life.
A Nonfiction Book about the first recorded shark attacks on US beaches before WWI. It is a very well written account of the people and the families who lived through this ordeal. But it is also full of facts about sharks and the differences between what we knew then and now.
