A review for the first book in the Stockingham and Pike series by Ross Montgomery. The Murder at World’s End is an enjoyable and entertaining cozy historical mystery with a great cast of characters. This delightfully funny story will keep you guessing as to who done it, while cheering on the wonderful detective duo.
A review for the audiobook version of Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots. I found this alternate world full of superheroes and villains to be a fascinating look at why someone would choose to work for a ‘villain’. Loved the characters and the story and I am really looking forward to the sequel coming out in May.
A review for T. Kingfisher’s novel, Snake-Eater. I enjoyed this story about a young woman who is on a journey of self discovery and finds a home in the desert. I found this to be pretty light on the horror, but a really strong story contemporary story with some magical realism.
A review for the audiobook version of the fast paced twisty mystery thriller by Ashley Elston. Anatomy of an Alibi will keep you on your toes as you try to solve the mysteries right along with the characters. The fast pace will also keep you turning those pages until the end.
A review for the historical fantasy based on the life of Mary Anning. The Geomagician by Jennifer Mandula is a fun story full of science, magic and religion. I really enjoyed reading this reimagined life of Mary Anning and how fossils are used for magic.
