I was unable to finish Heartless in time to post this week.  I’m still really enjoying it, but it is taking way longer than I anticipated to finish it. So instead, I’m posting about one of my favorite summer events!

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens. Returning April 27 2017, SYNC will give away two complete audiobook downloads a week – pairs of high interest titles, based on weekly themes. Sign up for email or text alerts and be first to know when new titles are available to download at www.audiobooksync.com.

Since about 2010 Audiofile and Overdrive have been teaming up with some other sponsors to give away two audiobooks a week from the end of April till the middle of August.  It is totally free and you get to keep the audiobooks forever.  How cool is that.  They usually have a pretty good line up and they try to match up the books with similar themes each week.  One book is usually something fairly new and the other one is either non-fiction or a classic.  I have never been disappointed with any book I’ve downloaded from them.  The only catch is you can only download the book during the week they are offered, if you forget then you miss out. Unfortunately, some of the books are not available outside the US. You can see the list of those here. You also don’t have to download both books, you can pick only one if you want.  I always sign up for the alerts so I don’t miss the books I want. Here is the list for this year:

I’ve read a lot of these already, but not all. I’m looking forward to listening to some of them.  So mark your calendars and get ready for some awesome summer listening!
