This week is my spring break and so far the weather has been fabulous! Which means reading outside! Yeah! Actually though I haven’t really read much outside, because my yard is such a mess, that I have actually been working on it instead of reading. But of course one of the best things about audiobooks is that you can listen while you work! So hopefully I will be getting lots of listening in this week.
Let’s take a look at how my spring break has been going so far!
I think we can officially say that I am obsessed with the Slough House series. I am pretty much picking up the next one as soon as I finish one. Just love these guys and I am really enjoying London Rules so far.
I am also enjoying The Only Good Indians as well, though it is a bit of a slow read and as far as it being horror???…. so far I haven’t been a bit scared.
Carry On is a reread and I haven’t quite started it yet, but I am sure I will enjoy it just as much this time around as the first time.
Real Tigers was so good. I am finally getting a handle on the characters and the writing style which makes it even more enjoyable!
Thrive was a great ending to this series. I really enjoyed watching these kids grow throughout the series, and that ending was just about perfect although a bit rushed.
Spook Street I think is my favorite so far! Man this one was so good, but I can’t tell you why without spoiling it! If you only want to read one of these, this should be the one.
Ophie’s Ghosts was also a really good middle grade that I quite enjoyed. I should have a review up next week for it.
Finally finished Tyrant’s Throne! It was good, I will miss this series, it was such a delight!
Even though I have two more books in the Slough House series to read, and will probably be itching to get them done ASAP, I will take a break to read Version Zero. It is the last ARC I need to read for May, so I want to get it done soon.
Rule of Wolves is on its way from the library along with two other books, but I am pretty sure this will be the one I will read first. But there is always a possibility that one of the others might win out. You will just have to wait and see which one in next week’s post.
Wayward Son will be my next audiobook, which I hope to start by next week. This will also be a reread, but I remember really enjoying this one too.
Well so far this has been a great reading week! I am enjoying my current reads and looking forward to my next ones!
I hope you all had a good reading week as well!
