It’s December and I still have so many books I want to read before the end of the year! I will just have to give up eating, sleeping, working so that I can find more time to read. I am looking forward to the few books I have selected to read this month, but first a look back at how I did with my November TBR. I am happy to say that I managed to read 7 out of 8 of the books that I had on my TBR. I had a couple of unexpected holds come from the library that pushed the final one to the bottom of the pile, but I hope to get to it soon. Now on to this month!
ARC’s I need to read

I have been having some issues finding anything I am interested in reading on NetGalley lately, but I did finally manage to find four that I thought would be good. These are all mystery/thrillers which seems to be what I have been in the mood for lately.
It Will End Like This is the only Ya on this part of the TBR. The thing that caught my eye about this one is that it is a modern take on the Lizzie Borden murders. Hopefully it will be good.
The Maid has such a cute cover and I was definitely getting The Stewardess vibes from it. It is also being called a locked room mystery and I always enjoy those.
A Flicker in the Dark is a debut novel for this author, but it has been getting a lot of attention already. It is another serial killer story and I am always up for those.
One Step Too Far is the next book in the Frankie Elkin series and I am really looking forward to seeing where Frankie goes next and how she solves the next case.
What else am I planning on reading?

I am being a little ambitious here but I am going to go for these four as well.
Empire of the Vampire is a beast of a book, coming in at 800 pages, but I am a fast reader and I have two weeks off for the holidays so hopefully I will get it done. Plus there are pretty pictures to look at.
Steelstriker is the next book in the Skyhunter series which I am currently rereading. I am enjoying the first book just as much as the first time around, so hopefully I will like this one too.
The Witch’s Heart is one I recently heard good things about and have decided to give it a chance. I always enjoy books with Norse mythology and one that features Loki goes to the top of the list.
The Man Who Died Twice is the second book in the Thursday Murder Club series. I really enjoyed the first book and decided that I would give the audiobook a try this time around.

I am sure that there will be lots more than these 8 books, but I like to leave room for options. Of course I will be continuing the Dresden File books as well as catching up on some other books I have been wanting to read.
What book is on the top of your TBR for December? Let me know in the comments!
A flicker in the dark seems interesting! I’ve received an ARC of Champagne Widows, about the birth of champagne Veuve Cliquot, so I will be reading that.

Great list for winter! I saw a Netflix series called The Maid.

Thanks, I don’t think the Netflix series is the same as the book. But I could be wrong!

The man who died twice is on my December TBR too but I’m still waiting for it to arrive from the library. Hopefully it will be before the end of the year as I’m moving ever closer to the top of the list.
