The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

This has been a pretty good week reading wise. My only disappointment is one book I was expecting to show up from the library did not come in time for me to read it! Hopefully it will show up soon.

What am I currently reading?

I have only just started Gallant so I don’t have much to say about it yet. It reads a bit younger than the YA’s I normally read, but it is pretty dark.

Feral Creatures is the second book in a series that is quite unique. It is about what happens to the pets and wild animals after the humans have all turned into zombies. All told from the point of view of a crow. Here is the review for the first book Hollow Kingdom if you want to know more.

Hunting Shadows is my current audiobook and the 16th book in the Inspector Ian Rutledge mystery series. I am trying to catch up with the books I have missed. I am enjoying this one so far. It is a bit creepier than normal so far.

What did I recently finish reading?

The Paris Apartment was really well done and one that I highly recommend if you like suspense thrillers with lots of twists and family secrets. Everyone was hiding something and almost everyone was a suspect.

The Butterfly House was also a well done murder mystery. I had a really hard time figuring out who was responsible for the murders until very close to the end.

The Dragon Egg Princess was a quick little middle grade read. I liked it but I thought the end was really abrupt and left a lot of things hanging. As far as I know it is a stand alone so that ending was disappointing.

I loved Small Favor and I think it might be one of my favorites! Lots of things going on in this one including Harry being hunted by the gruffs, think billy goats, and those parts were a bit hilarious. The rest was very dark though.

The Bone Orchard is the next ARC I need to read. I just love that cover and I am always up for a bit of Necromancy!

I was really hoping to be reading The Color of Dragons by now, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

A Fine Summer’s Day is the next book in the Rutledge series. This one goes back to tell a story from before the war. It will be interesting to see Ian before he was so damaged.

Well, that is it for this week! I hope you all have a great reading week!
