The Birthday Book Tag!

It was my birthday earlier this week so I thought it would be fun to do this tag again. The last time I did it was in 2020 and for the most part my answers have changed. If you would like to compare you can find my old post here.

1. Count your birthday along your bookshelf and then subtract your birth month:

I was a little nervous about this prompt as I don’t own a lot of books and I am pretty old, so I was afraid I would run out of books before I reached the end of the shelf, but I just squeaked by with only one book left. Whew! I was super glad that this was the book I landed on. I just love this series and can’t wait for the next one sometime this year.

2. If you could spend your birthday with any fictional character who would it be and why?

This was a bit of a tough one as I have met some wonderful characters the last year, but I finally decided on Veronica Speedwell and Stoker Templeton-Vane. I just love these two and would love to spend a day helping them solve a mystery while listening to their banter.

3. Find a book that takes place in the season you were born in.

This was the only one that I could remember for sure happened in the winter.

4. Find a book the color of your birthstone.

Garnets are a tricky gem as they come in a wide variety of reds and purples. But my favorite has always been the reddish purple color . It was tough to find a cover that matched it, this was the closest I could fine.

5. Pick A Book Set In A Time Period, World, or Country You Would Like To Have Been Born In:

This was the first book I thought of when I saw that prompt so even though it doesn’t quite fit I am going to stick with it because nothing else came to mind. I so want to visit Katmere Academy and hang out with this gang, especially Flint! I just noticed that there are now going to be seven books in the series! YEAH! Can’t wait.

6. What book or bookish thing do I want for my birthday?

I usually buy a book for my birthday, but there was not anything coming out this month that I was interested in owning. But I have preordered a couple that are coming out in February so I am going to count those as birthday presents to myself.
