WWW Wednesday

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Even though I didn’t get much read during my excellent Alaska adventure, I made up for it when I got back! I managed to finish 5 books this week! And for the most part they were all pretty good. I have just started a new round of books, so don’t have much to say about them yet, but so far I am enjoying them.

What am I currently reading?

The Bullet that Missed is the last ARC that I need to read this month. I am so looking forward to spending time with this fun cast of characters again.

The Word is Murder is a book I have been looking forward to picking up. It sounds really good and so far has started off well.

From the Desk of Zoe Washington is my current audiobook and is the last middle grade book that I need to read before school starts.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Ballad of Never After was pretty good, I still have some mixed feelings about this series. But man that ending kind of blew me away!

The Stranger Times was hilarious and I just fell in love with the characters and the setting. I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book. If you have not yet read this urban fantasy you really should!

The Last Cuentista was kind of slow moving, but had some really interesting ideas. I really enjoyed some of the stories she told and how she made them her own. I didn’t like the ending though. It was just too open ended for my taste.

We Made It All Up was a really good YA mystery/thriller. Even though I had it all figured out about half way through, there were enough red herrings that I had my doubts until the end. It was well written and had a lot of layers to the plot!

Razor Girl is the second in the Andrew Yancey series. It was just as crazy and funny and really good as the first one. I’m kind of sad that there isn’t another one featuring Andrew, but I am looking forward to reading some of the other books by this author.

What will I read next?

With school starting next week, I will be pretty busy this week getting everything ready, so I might not have as much time to read as I would like. But these are the books that I am hoping to start.

Dead Man’s Hand is a debut by the son of one of my favorite authors. Hopefully I will enjoy it as much as his father’s work. This is the next ARC that I need to read. It comes out in October.

This is What Happened is a back list book by another favorite author. I didn’t know he had other books beside the Slow Horses series until I spotted them in the book store. I hope they are as good as his current series.

Our Lady of Mysterious Ailments is the second book in the Edinburgh Nights series. I will be listening to this one pretty soon I hope. I really enjoyed The Library of the Dead and have high hopes for this one.

Well I hope that you all have a wonderful reading week and I look forward to reading your posts. Happy Reading!
