WWW Wednesday

I took a day off of work last week because I wasn’t feeling well, so I was able to get some extra reading time in! I managed to finish four books and novella, and except for one of them they were all excellent! I am also enjoying most of my current books, so I seem to be on a roll!

What am I currently reading?

Stars and Smoke is my current ARC and I am really enjoying it. I really like the characters and the story so far is keeping me interested.

Still Life is starting off really well. I am enjoying the characters and the setting of a small town in Canada. The mystery hasn’t really taken off yet, but so far it is interesting.

The Element of Fire is my current audiobook and I will be starting it today. I am looking forward to this and can’t wait to get started.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Sinister Booksellers of Bath was so good, and I really enjoyed it. I just love Susan, Merlin and Vivian and all of the booksellers. They are such a fun group keeping the world safe!

Kill Joy was the novella that I just stumbled upon recently. It comes out at the end of the month and it was such a fun quick read. I should have a review up tomorrow.

A House With Good Bones was such a fun, fast read. I read it in one day in fact. Is there such as thing as a cozy horror book? I don’t know, but I would call this one exactly that.

Frozen Detective was a huge disappointment. I didn’t feel connected to the characters or the story at all. Not sure why I even finished it.

Force of Nature was quite good. I really like the way Aaron’s character developed in this one. I also liked the dual timeline and the mystery was quite good as well.

What will I read next?

A Spoonful of TIme will be my next ARC and I am really looking forward to it. I love the idea of time traveling through food, and that cover is just adorable.

I had started Witches Get Stitches over the weekend, but after a couple of chapters I decided I wasn’t in the mood. Not sure if I will be in the mood for it next, but I will give it another try before deciding to dnf.

The Death of the Necromancer, the second book in the Ile-Rein series, might be my next audiobook. We will have to see. It will depend on how much I end up liking The Element of Fire and if it is available when I am ready for it.

Well that is my week sorted. I have next week off for Mid-winter break so hopefully I will get some time to read. We will be traveling for the first weekend, but after that it will be good. I hope you all had a great reading week as well. Happy Reading!
